The Garden is a community space at Augsburg University utilized by The Sabo Center for Democracy and Citizenship. They connect students, faculty, staff, and community members in the everyday work of learning together to address public issues, make change, and build democracy.

In March 2020, Sabo formed a working group focused on food access in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood. The group’s priorities are to expand food distribution to residents with highest need; 2. Expand availability of healthy, fresh foods to Cedar-Riverside residents; 3. Expand opportunities for community gardening; 4. Expand nutrition education in the neighborhood.

After years in the making, they wanted to collaborate with Design & Agency to create an identity and wayfinding for their garden.
